What a delightful early morning adventure for me to find your web site while looking for answers to our Lucy's dry coat. If we ever decide to
have another schnauzer in our life, we will make the trec to see you in Canada. Your family of schnauzers is
so very impressive, and the love and attention you give shines on every little face. Thank you!

Maya's just wanting to say hi to her mom, dad, aunts, uncles and that she is doing very well with her family in Cole Harbour. She's a healthy, happy 3 year old female with her yes "tail intact".
If you should have any plans on getting the schnauzer's together in this area please let us know, we would love to be part of the reunion.
Hope all is well, Greg, Penny, James, Natalie, Pebble and Maya.

I love your website! I adopted a mini from a local rescue group that rescue puppies from puppy mills and small breeders. The group is called Flawdogs as these are the ones that breeders deemed being too flawed and considered the "leftovers". Dexter was 12 weeks when I got him 3 weeks ago and has his tail docked though now as short as I have seen in other it still curves a bit over his back, but who ever did his ears really messed them up as they cropped his right ear mored than his left.I'm so glad to here that you don't do either of this proceedure. I had a mini schnauzer/carine mix before Dexter who tail was docked but ears left alone and they really added to his personality. Dexter is an all white little guy and has charmed everyone he has met. He is a most loving companion and great with the grandkids. I wish there were more breeders like you for all breeds. Thanks for website as it has given me some valuable info on this wonderful.

Your website is fabulous! Your pictures are great. I got on the site to look at the grooming page and it is giving me confidence that I can do it myself. I am picking up my b/s mini on Oct.3 after losing a s/p, 15 1/2yrs old in March. Thanks for the help.

Good Afternoon

Two and a half years ago when my husband and I adopted our little Mini, named Chile; I had no idea how to groom her. I took her to the groomers but brought her right back home as I didn’t like the idea of leaving her there in a cage for the whole day on a Saturday when I was off work. I found your site on the internet and I was so pleased, you had all the grooming steps outlined and made it so easy to understand. I still on occasion refer to your site for information or just to look at your pictures. I grew up with Golden Retrievers in the house, but when I got my own dog 2.5 years ago, as of day-one minute-one with Chile, she’s made me a huge Mini fan!!

Kind regards
Alison, Al & Chile

My husband & I own a small quarter horse farm, typically we prefer & own larger dogs ( golden retrievers )most recently, I became a 'mom' to an orphaned schnauzer. I've always considered myself to be quite knowledgeable in the field of animal husbandry.I now find myself searching for info re: this interesting little pup.I rec'd him @ 1 day old.he is now going on 3 wks.

Hi, I found your site looking for instructions on how to groom my Schnauzer D'Artagnan Tobias, we call him Tanner. I read your "missed friends" section and cried. It reminded me of my Toby which I lost a year and half ago. I have Tanner now and he is such a good dog. I was wondering if you had a male Schnauzer that is around Tanner's age  (1yr and 4months) that you would be interested in selling. My assumption of you by reading your site that you probably treat your dogs like we do - spoil them to death. If you have such a dog we would be interested. I like to think of things as they are meant to be. Please let me know if you have a male - he can be fixed as I don't breed. Thank you in advance.

Hello, although I have never owned one I have always loved miniature schnauzers. Hopefully one day I will get to experience loving one! I love your web site and all the wonderful stories!! They are the cutest things I've ever seen. I cried reading the pages about the retired dogs, I don't know how I would ever let them go?!? And what a cute letter from Jasper!!! Just wanted to drop a line after looking. Take care!

Hello from Beautiful British Columbia!
My daughter, Erika Eberhardt and husband Doug Biggar from Lower Coverdale, NB, are "expecting" their puppy in November. She e-mails me telling me about updates, etc., and game me your website to look up.

Was amazed at the information and, of course, the love you have for your Schnauzers. Very well written.

Am looking forward to seeing pictures of my new "grand puppy".

What a great website - technically well organized, grooming pictures so helpful. Even more important than that, it was wonderful and a pleasant surprise to see your litters WITH tails. I love the look. I have had 2 minis, both with natural ears, but have come with docked tails from the breeders. Never again will I have a short-tailed schnauzer! I think the tails add to their personality, and we all know what great personalities our minis have! Thanks for sharing! :thumb

Hi: My husband checks your website often. We have adopted one of your puppies, Key Erra Midnight, approximately 2 years ago. She is a doll. We have enjoyed having her in our life so much that we cannot imagine what we did without her. She is our first dog and we couldn't have picked a better one. We have actually discussed getting a second dog so she can have a companion and we can love another. Your site is great!

I think it is awesome you don't dock the puppies' tails anymore. I think their tails are adorable. I have a mini schnauzer with a docked tail, but he was already like that when I got him. I didn't crop his ears though. I also think its a cruel and unnessecary procedure. Kudos to you all! I love your pictures of the doggies.

I love your website. It is the most helpful of all the others I have visited. I just retired, & was searching for instructions on how to clip my dog, Heidi. She is 1/2 Schnauzer & 1/2 Corgie. She was born without a tail & only has a nub. She has long stand-up ears like the Corgie, short legs, salt & pepper coat & head like the Schauzer. She is the sweetest dog I've ever owned. The groomers love her because she's so friendly & sweet. I got her when she was about 9 months old, from a lady who bought her as a purebred Schauzer, but wasn't. The lady wanted to get another one that was. It was meant to be, because Heidi is a wonderful pet. Now that I'm retired, I am cutting back on some expenses, & dog grooming is one. I can do is myself, but just needed some good instruction on the clipping.
Thanks so much for your very helpful instructions. You made them very simple & easy to understand.

Thanks Again,
Betty

This is a wonderful page and very informative. I have two miniature's and are brother and sister, Lilly is salt and pepper and Lucian is white. Lucian has lots of health issues but for the most part is a healthy 1 1/2 year old. Thank you for sharing your pictures with me and when i get ready for another pup, i may just breed Lilly after she is 2. They are such loving dogs.

Kudos for you! I also do not dock my mini schnauzers' tails. I think it is cruel, and I wish it was illegal here in the U.S. It is very hard to find homes for the puppies with their tails on, but I think it is for the best that they do not undergo the procedures.

We have an adorable salt and pepper Minature Schnauzer He is just 5 months old. We are struggling with house training but we are determined to get it right. My hubby and myself have lost a considerable weight. as Maxie is gaining fine he is now 13.5 lbs and stands 13 inched ground to shoulder.
Our lives have been enriched by this little gentlepup so much, that it is hard to remember life before him. Onr question we feed him 1 cup of Nutra for puppys 3 x's a day and some days a little less, but he is pooing like a big doggy should we cut back?? and also when should his first cut be done?? thank you so much for your time.

We recently lost our second Mini Schnauzer Sam aged 12, our other Schnauzer Jake passed away 2 years ago from cancer aged 10. When the time is right we will be getting another Schnauzer. Looking at the pictures on your site has brought back lots of memories. Love your site and would one day love to visit PEI, the landscape is such a contrast to where we live!

Anderson just took over our house and hearts a few weeks ago. He is a white mini and we all love him. We are first time owners and are very, very impressed by mini's demeanor. Anderson is 14 weeks old and he is sleeping in his kennel in our bedroom with the kennel door open.which he walked into himself! Thank you for all of the information on the breed and love your site.

We are interested in purchasing a Miniature Shnauzer in the near future. We lost our 15 year old Toy American Eskimo last February 16, 2008, and felt that we didn't want to go through that hurt again, but now I think that we are ready. I could write a book about her, but will tell you that she was a good, obedient little dog who we loved, and the only reason that I wouldn't get another is because she wouldn't be Kiisha, and I am afraid that we would look for the same attributes.

Your website was extremely helpful to me as I am just starting to groom Betsy myself, and I wanted to get it right. I appreciate your comments about shaving with the grain. I have had 4 schnauzers in my life and have seen the irritation and damage when "professional" groomers have shaved against the grain, also I was happy to see your comments about pulling the hair from their ears. Ouch. Enjoyed your pictures immensely. Thank you.

Just happened onto your website. It helped me looking for dog food. We have a mini-schnauzer named Angel born 12/16/06. We had a fox terrier before who died of kidney failure at only 9 yrs. I've oftened wondered why we feed our dogs grain and veggies when they mainly lived on meat over history. We have a meat processor here that makes all meat frozen dog food since 1997. It is J.J.Fudds. I just found out about them.

Love your site! Your dogs are gorgeous! Our Oskar boy is a 1-year-old mini who really is the world's best dog - so cute and funny and cuddly and smart! He looks just like your Phoenix did, but unfortunately his little tail was docked before we got him. I'm so glad you are leaving the dogs' tails 'au natural!' Bravo!

My wife and I have 2 8 month old mini schnauzes, Mochi and Max, Mochi is a platinum and Max is a salt and pepper, they are brothers from the same litter. Already they are members of our family and usually go everywhere with us. I am looking to train them to go to the golf course and ride the cart. You guys have a wonderful site and a good looking family of schnauzers.
