We are so happy to see a breeder refusing to dock tails. Cheers to you - hopefully others will take note and this will become the norm.

We are the proud parents of a salt and pepper parti named Smokey. He is beloved "little guy" and we are in the market for new brother or sister for him. I love the look of your dogs and I'm very excited to find a breeder who does not practice docking of any kind.

Your site is great! We adopted Penny, who we thought was a Westie puppy from a rescue group last January. Except for white fur and a black nose she is very different from our adult Westie, Keli. Now, we think she is a White Mini Schnauzer, with floppy ears and longish tail.
Thanks for sharing so much detail about the grooming. I groom my Westie and now I know that the Mini Schnauzer isn't so different from a Westie cut - the face and head are a bit different.

I have been searching high and low for a breeder in the U.S that keep the tails intact, without luck. When I moved to the U.S from Sweden, I found it horrendous and sad that family pets lost their tail for no reason at all. Applauding you for living in the 21st century and truly seeing what's best for the dogs. If I decide to get another schnauzer I would gladly fly up to Canada and back to get one of yours.

I love you site. My baby, Coal, is 10 months old now. My first dog! I can't believe how much I love him and I'm so happy I got a mini-schnauzer. When I decided not to have his ears cropped, everyone thought I was nuts. Imagine my delight when I found your site and was able to direct people here to read what you have to say on the subject.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy your website, I have read about all of your retired girls with tears in my eyes. I had a mini Schnauzer, silver for 14 years, her name was Chloe'. She was very small and we did not breed her, we spay her as soon as we could. We just lost her to heart condition several weeks ago, and our hearts are broken, we miss her dearly. I love your site and thank you for keeping it updated with so many pictures, your dogs are truly lucky!

Oh my goodness, they are all absolutely beautiful -- and I love your property!

I currently have 2 minis (a Salt & Pepper female who is 10 and and 1 1/2 y/o Black and Silver female (both spayed)) and wish I could have 12!

Keep up the dedication to the breed!

We adopted our Maggie (a.k.a. my shadow)in November from the local SPCA. We were looking to adopt a Shih Tzu, but when I saw Maggie, that was IT! Maggie is 6 yrs old and is as vibrant, and alive, and playful, and loving as a pup! And when I sit down to relax, she's my 'leg-warmers'!!

As this is my first dog, I really appreciate the information your website provides! Thank you!!

I read with great interest your grooming instructions. I've been toying with the idea of grooming Sadie, my mini Schnauzer, myself. I do have a regular groomer. Loved your photos. I'm on my third Schnauzer and Sadie looks a lot like some of yours. She is black & silver. I enjoyed visiting your web site.

I love your Web page. You have beautiful dogs. We adopted two salt and peppers when their owner died. We love them and they are a large part of our lives. We live across from the WSU campus in Vancouver and walk them 3 miles. They sure have a lot of energy.

After reading your web page, I was very inspired to find a miniature schnauzer breeder in my area. I am happy to say that I was successful! My puppy was born on April 14, 2008 ( a day after Kismet's!) and I will be bringing him home on June 16, 2008. I have visited your site often and love to see the pictures and read the information you share. You obviously love the breed! I will continue to return for advice as my puppy grows and matures! Thank you!

I just love looking at your site. I look at the new puppies all the time and am trying to talk my husband into getting another mini. We have one right now (1.5 yrs, grey, and just the best dog in the world). It seems like you take such great care of your animals - and it shows. Good luck with the upcoming litter and give them all a sqeeze!

I absolutely love your site. It is so nice to see someone who loves their dogs as companions and not just as $$ bags.

I have a 5 year old mini. I got him at 8 weeks old from a pet shop. I wasn't looking for a schnauzer, but fell in love with him. He is extremely mellow and not at all high strung as people say schnauzers are suppose to be. His name is Oreo. He is a salt and pepper. He has been going to work with me from the day I got him. He greets all my customers as they come in. He was easy to teach and is very well mannered. He knows that if the door is open at the shop, he can't go beyond it and he follows that rule quite well. I adore my little guy.

WONDERFUL WEBSITE! We are new to the breed so I am trying to learn more about them and found your website. I have always owned cocker spaniels up until now and we got our first mini schnauzer about 3 months ago. We gave him his first haircut today thanks to your awesome directions. He is GORGEOUS! Looks like he's been to the groomers. He is about 6 months now. We are having trouble with potty training. Is this typical of this breed or am I expecting too much for his age?

My dog, border collie cross, passed away 12 weeks ago. we had her for 11 years. I miss her so much. I am 50%hearing impaired, and Jena was my ears. I have decided that I want another dog. I met a mini shnauzer and fell in love. I have been reading and educating myself at every chance on the computer about m/s. I am confused about whether I should get a purbred (with or with out papers), or should I get a Hybrid -Schnoodle. I found that a shcnoodle has a larger gene pool, therefore less chance of genetic disorders. Jena was a mixed mutt and didnt have any problems until old age. Please let me know what the chances are, or are they the same purbred or hybrid genetic chance similar. Hybrid breeders and Purbred breeders both argue that they are the best. thank you for your expertise.

You have a wonderful website. I was searching for the proper way to groom the legs of my two mini's. (I have a solid black and a solid white - both females.) I won't take my babies to a groomer anymore b/c the last time the groomer burned their little bodies. They were so miserable - I took them to the vet and he prescribed prednisone for the skin irritations.

Your animals truly look wonderful and well cared for!! What a pleasure you must get from these wonderful creatures. Keep up the good work.

Hi! My name is Samantha and I am eleven years old! I absolutely adore mini Schnauzers and think yours are amazing! I have always wanted a puppy and am trying to prove to my parents I am responsible enough for one, and that Mini schnauzers are the best breed! Thank you for the pictures and not docking the pups tails and ears! They are so much prettier with them intact! Love you're website and dog photos!!!!!! Good luck for Finding them all homes! :)

I have just got home with a beautiful 2 month old mini schnauzer. I had been researching small dogs and was hesitating because most people said they are too energetic and bark constantly. When I saw my Billy I couldn't resist.within about 30 seconds she was like putty in our hands. Her tail is unfortunately docked but not her ears, thank goodness! My husband is presently on sick leave and I found your site very helpful especially since you give tricks for both at home and at work families. Thank you very much!! :o))

:P If IO were to bring my miniture schnauzer, he would ahave went crazy, he doesnt really like other dogs but for some odd reason he loves cats lol, his name is Max, but his nickname is Panda Bear. If your wondering why i call him Panda Bear, its because if you put his ears a certian way he looks just like a solid black panda bear

cute dogs by the way .:-:. :thumb

Toby, our oldest Schnauzer, has been with us for 7 years. Duncan, our younger Schnauzer, just a year now and tomorrow I am going to groom them myself for the 1st time. Usually they go to a professional to get their hair cut, but any more its getting way to expensive. So we agreed to trim them up ourselves between professional cuts. Your website has been a great learning tool. Thank you so much!
