HI Folks, My mother adopted one of your babies "Kayla" she is fabulous. I just wanted everyone to know how great she is with my 16 month old son. They play fight together, cuddle together and chase each other around the house. It is really fun to watch them together. Kayla thinks that Daniel, my son, is just another puppy.

Your web site is fabulous and I love the new grooming stuff you put up complete with pictures. It would be nice to have some close ups of different areas after they have been groomed. My mom and I groom Kayla together but we haven't got the face just right yet. Do you have any pictures you could email me that show a side view of just the head and also a face forward shot? Thanks.

What a delightful web page ... just look, for example, at the little 'bouncers' up above! You've taken a lot of care to put it together, and it's all just grrrrreat!

I really enjoy yr website. I have a 4 month black mini schnauzer. We just love her but she is very hyper. Always on the go, no matter what we do. She is currently enrolled in puppy classes, but that is even exhausting. (for my husband and i). Any ideas on what we can do, to quiet her down. P.S. She did come from a good breeder. Thank u

I have finally gotten around to tell you a little about Barry and Diane. They are great people except that they can be a little cranky before their morning breakfast of maple bacon and coffee. They are great dog owners who believe that a dog is more than just a pet. I hope that I have given you a clearer picture of the Ykelenstams.

Webmaster Comments:
Many thanks to you and the rest of the staff at Brudenell Animal Hospital for your excellent care and unsurpassed sense of humor. We sure appreciate it and we love you too!!

Thanks for having such great photo gallery! My fiancé and I selected a 9 week old Schnauzer at a Breeder's to pick up after our Honeymoon. She will be almost 15 weeks old when we pick her up - it was nice to get an idea what she might look like as she will have changed a great deal by then (unfortunately). It was nice to look at the pictures of the pups at 4/5 months to get an idea. Keep posting great photos!!! I will be back!

Just wanted to say what an excellent site you have here. I dropped in because I've just brought home my new Mini Schnauzer and I wanted to get some tips on grooming. I have a 15 year old Mini that I have groomed all along - but wanted to refresh myself on the correct way with my new baby. I was especially interested in that small clipper you used between the eyes - always a difficult area to cut and blend - perhaps you'll email me the make so I can try and find one!
Thanks again for an enjoyable hour reading and looking at the pictures :)

We brought our Gracie home on July 21, 2003. She is the beautiful little girl that adorns the guestbook page. Gracie is our 2nd mini-schnauzer that came from Diane and Barry, Teller being our first. They both are such joys to watch and are such wonderful friends and companions to each other and to me & Bud. I have been reading some of the other comments in the guestbook and I have to agree that your website really is the one thing that caught my attention at first. The pictures of all the pups are so wonderful. My goal is to take pictures of Teller and Gracie that can meet Barry's standards. I haven't made it yet!

Just thought I would drop a line and give an up date on Maggie May (Ripley's May 15th 2003 litter). Maggie will be 13 weeks old on Thursday and she is still a little pigglet. She weighs 8lb 10 oz. She has just got her second hair cut on the weekend. Her adult coat is coming in so very nicely. She just not a beautiful looking girl, she is also such a smart puppy too. She will sit and lay for a treat and she goes to her bed on command, she walks on a leash very well. She is house trained and she sleeps in her kennel at night(has never once cried, not even the night we brought her home) and doesn't wake up until we get up in the morning to go pee. She is such a good girl. Her favorite toy is one of the cats toys. So we think Maggie May might think she is a cat. She plays very well with our kittens who are a month and a half older then her and she is just a joy to have. I have to admit that Maggie if very much a mamma's girl. And she knows that she has me wrapped around her little paw.

Thank you to Diane and Barry. You have made me one very happy lady and Maggie is such a amazing addition to our family.

We are getting a miniature black schnauzer next week -- she will be eight weeks old and we have been visiting her at her "mom's". Your pictures have made us even more excited about our new addition. Your information will be very helpful. I have bookmarked your website for future reference. Thank you very much

Where to begin?
It all started in January 2003 with an innocent perusal on the internet for general information on dogs. I suddenly found myself on the listing of Canadian minischnauzer breeders and found your website. Without any intention whatsoever of getting another minischnauzer, my husband and I fell in love with your dogs! As we went along and looked at the pictures, it seemed as if the dogs became more and more beautiful!! Fast forward to May 17, 2003 and the birth of our beautiful black and silver male named Jamie! The picture being used in the guestbook, is Jamie's twin sister Gracie! Jamie has been home since July 14, 2003 and we love him more and more everyday! His sister and brother have welcomed him and made him part of our family pretty quickly! I feel that I have made a lifelong friend in Diane, someone who finally understands where I am coming from when it comes to my animals! We have become close because of this, and we are planning a PEI vacation in 2004. I know that Diane and Barry love and care for everyone of their brood and it shows in the pictures and the temperament and health of their dogs! We would not hesitate to give anyone a reference; all you have to do is call! We feel priviliged to have Jamie as part of our family.

Thanks for keeping up the excellent breed M.S. standards. From what I've seen today on your website, the pups and parents are beautiful! I've a 6 y/o Salt&Pepper named Maggie she's the best!
I live far away from you, but I am interested in hearing about your possible White litter in 2004. I'm looking to expand my girl family with a White and/or Black&Silver. I'm not interested in breeding, just being the mommy of healthy&happy doggie girls.

My puppy was born on May 17th and she is from Moxie's litter. Her name is Buffy and today is 8 weeks old! I am picking her up in a couple of days and I am sooo excited. I think she is so cute (along with all the other puppies) and I can't wait to pick her up! She looks like such an angel!

My husband, my 2 kids (ages 1 & 3) and myself are ready to expand our family. I have been researching breeds and it seems that the mini schnauzer is the dog for us. We want a small to medium sized, cute dog that is good with children. I am very excited, but I do not even know where to begin. I have looked in our local paper and apparently schnauzer's are rare around here. I do not know what is involved if we purchase a puppy from another state. HELP!

We have a female schnauzer that just had 5 puppies. They are 3 weeks old. This is the first schnauzer I have had and I am just crazy about her. They are so loyal and loving. She barks at strangers but doesn't bite. Once she knows it is ok for the stranger to be in the house she is very friendly. I like your method of raising the puppies. I agree they are very social dogs and need to be in the house.

We are looking for a Miniature Schnauzer puppy...We were wondering if you have any that you would sell...We just lost our springer after a wonderful 14 year life, and the house feels so different without a dog...We would love it if you could help us in anyway...

I love your dogs!! I really like the natural ears. My mini has them, and although I understand that most breeders crop the ears, I really prefer the natural ones. You have some very beautiful dogs.

After we lost our wonderful Marte, I realized that I needed to find a new love soon after. From our first conversations over e-mail, I felt that we had common love for our schnauzers. And your website really presents your puppies in such a wonderful way.

I currently have a one year-old, Teller, that I got from the Ykelenstam's and he has been wonderful. We are expecting our second puppy from you this July. My husband and I, as well as Teller, are excited about our new baby.

We have two miniature schnauzers, Mo-Jo and Molly, both are female and came from Linkletter (Nancy Keough). As with a number of your dogs, George and Gabriella are the "parents".

We were wondering if you have considered boarding schnauzers. We understand that schnauzers love to be around other dogs of their breed and we thought what a great opportunity if they all got along well. We don't leave them very often and if we do we usually have someone come to our home to stay with them, however, that is not always possible so we are looking for a reliable/reputable place for boarding.

You have a great site! We look forward to your reply.

I love your website!
I especially love that your dogs have their natural ears...mine do too, but my breeder doesn't like that I kept the ears natural (I think it's cruel and horrible personally).
I also have a white dog... another "taboo" in the schnauzer world... yeesh- he's the most loving of the group!

Sounds like you love schnauzers as much as we do!

We had two for 15 years(mother and son, we bred our female once and kept one dog) and now have a fantastic black female. She is 14 months now and very, very small. We are looking for a male (we have been told that two females are not a good idea re compatibility) which is salt and pepper or predominately silver which is also very small. If you ever have very small males can you let us know?
I filled in your other form but I thought I'd sign the book.

We lived in Saint John, NB for 10 years before moving to Oshawa and our son lives in Halifax.

Great looking dogs and pups! We have our Lady who's now 3 years old. We didn't have her ears clipped either; glad to see your dogs' aren't either.

How can we buy a pup in the future being here in Houston? What arrangements do you make for folks far away?
